The match was marked by crucial moments and tactical plays, keeping fans on the edge of their seats throughout the 90 minutes of play.

The Mariners, demonstrating determination right from the start, took control of the game early on.

Kaltak adeptly pushed a dangerous cross from the Wanderers out for a corner, effectively thwarting a potential equaliser and maintaining the Mariners’ slender lead.

Going into halftime, the Mariners held onto their 1-0 advantage, buoyed by Marco’s long-range goal.

The team returned to the second half with renewed vigour, eager to consolidate their lead.

In the 46th minute, the Mariners enthusiastically resumed play, reflecting their determination to secure a win.

The Mariners made a tactical move in the 53rd minute, marking their first substitution of the match.

In the 70th minute, Tapp and Tulio were subbed off for Theoharous and Di Pizio.

The match concluded with the Mariners successfully defending their lead, ensuring a well-deserved victory over the Western Sydney Wanderers.

The 1-0 scoreline reflected the Mariners’ effective strategy and resilience, highlighting the team’s capability to seize opportunities and defend under pressure.

He will be sorely missed on the field, though both fans and players celebrated the parting triumph, marking another memorable chapter in the Mariners’ fascinating journey this season.
