Kaleb Daley from Warnervale Wildcats Cricket Club took 5/24 off 16.1 with 9 maidens at Woongarrah Oval

The Central Coast Cricket competition has resumed following the Christmas break, with Round 6 of the Mens Diggers The Entrance 1st Grade Two Day Competition played on Saturday, January 6.

Wyong batted against Kincumber after losing the toss.

In the 59th over, Wyong were all out for just 92 runs with complete middle batting order collapse.

Bailey Lavin sat not out on 27along with Bailey Lidgard taking 2/8 off 3.5.

Kincumber Avoca started their batting innings with openers getting off to a good start.

Wyong bowlers came in with some great form and currently hold Kincumber Avoca 4/48 after 24 overs at stumps.

The Entrance won the toss sending Terrigal Matcham out to bat.

Terrigal Matcham had a rough time steadying their runs with Jordan McDonald top scoring on 31* off 65.

The Entrance bowler took 4/19 off 7 with 2 maidens.

Wicket keeper Jake Holmes took 4 catches behind the stumps sending them in to chase 123.

The top of the batting order committed to the chase with skipper Jake Hardy out on 145 off 91 with 10 fours and 12 sixes.

Terrigal Matcham’s Josh Bridge and Jaime Brien took 4 wickets each and in the 42nd over, The Entrance were all out 262.

Brisbane Water lost the toss and were sent into bat against Northern Power.

Chris Archer put a stop to top scoring batters Lachlan Spencer 43 off 95 and Jacob McCormick 47 off 111 leaving Brisbane Water all out for 132.

Northern Power went out to bat and are currently 3/77 with Eric Den Hartog holding 2 wickets.

Lisarow Ourimbah won the toss and elected to bat.

The luck fell from this point with only three batters reaching double digits.

Josh Hopkins top scored on 44 off 57.

Southern Spirit’s Matthew Jones took 3/28 off 17 with 6 maidens leaving Lisarow Ourimbah all out on just 105.

After 24 overs, Southern Spirit are 3/124 with Liam O’Farrell not out on 82 hitting 10 fours and 2 sixes.

Narara Wyoming lost the toss and were sent out to bat.

Aras Baird top scored on 39 off 153 but the side didn’t stand a chance against Kaleb Daley taking 5/24 off 16.1 with 9 maidens.

In the 66th over, Narara Wyoming were all out for 165.

Warnervale are in bat with Daniel Hill out on 51 with 10 fours.

Day 2 of Round 6 will be played on Saturday, January 13.

In the 1st Grade Womens T20 Competition Northern Power White took the win against Wyong chasing down their 70 runs by the 7th over.

Northern Power bowlers Zara Hepplewhite and Emily Teale took 2 wickets each along with Michelle Bertucci out on 28 with 4 fours and a six.

Northern Power Orange defeated Kincumber Avoca with Northern Power finishing their innings on 7/113.

Kincumber Avoca were all out in the 18th over with just 59.

Northern Power’s Crystal Osborne finished not out on 48 in the 1st innings along with Wyong’s Layla Graham taking 3/5 off 4.

Northern Power’s Sam Thomas took 5/5 off 3.3 in the 2nd innings wiping out chances of Kincumber Avoca chasing down the runs.

The Entrance won the toss and elected to bowl against Lisarow Ourimbah.

Lacey Burton retired on 29 off 30 and Aanyah Siingh was stumped on 28 off 28.

For The Entrance, Skye Gallagher took 2/28 off 4.

After their overs, Lisarow Ourimbah were 4/121 and The Entrance began their chase.

Unfortunately after their overs The Entrance couldn’t make the runs finishing 6/65.

Sara Lobb top scored on 23 off 25 with 3 fours.
