Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast, Mr Scot MacDonald, joined community members at Lisarow Railway Station on December 8, after receiving an invitation from Ms Anne Love.
This followed an inspection of Lisarow Station earlier in the year with the Hon Taylor Martin MLC, and subsequent representations by Ms Love on behalf of the community.
Mr MacDonald addressed the meeting and undertook to follow up discussions he has had with the NSW Minister for Transport and Infrastructure, the Hon Andrew Constance MP, regarding access.
“Ms Love and the community have advocated strongly for lifts and improved access for the less mobile people using Lisarow Station.
“I appreciate hearing first hand again how important this issue is to locals”, Mr MacDonald said.
Mr MacDonald also said he undertook to report back to Ms Love and others on the progress of his representations.
“There are a large number of infrastructure projects underway across the Central Coast after years of neglect.
“The significant investment in hospitals, roads, rail and other areas is welcome, and our Government is determined to deliver the infrastructure as is needed and on budget,” Mr MacDonald said.
