Evacuation order issued around the lakes

Evacuation order issued by the NSW SES at 11.30pm May 23, 2025.

Residents near Tuggerah Lake, Budgewoi Lake, and Lake Munmorah were issued an evacuation order late last night, with the NSW SES directing people to leave immediately due to moderate but hazardous flooding.

The order was issued around 11.30 pm Friday after rising flood levels put low-lying homes and roads at risk of being cut off.
