Council’s fun school holiday program

There will be a full day swim and sport program at Peninsula Leisure Centre on Monday, January 8

With the excitement of Christmas now over, parents will be turning their thoughts to how to occupy the children for the school holidays – and Central Coast Council can help, with a jam packed holiday program to keep bodies and minds active.

There are over 80 free or affordable activities that children and youth of all ages and interests will love.

Kick the fun off with New Year’s Eve celebrations on the Gosford waterfront or in Memorial Park at The Entrance all through the afternoon and culminating in fireworks at 9pm at both venues.

On Monday, January 8, there will be a workshop on crystal clusters at Gosford Regional Gallery from 10am-noon and again from 1-3pm.

There will be a full day swim and sport program at Peninsula Leisure Centre on Monday, January 8.

On Tuesday, January 9, there will be an acrylic painting workshop at Toukley Library at 10.30am and at Gosford Regional Gallery, there will be a workshop on silhouette art from 1-3pm.

Kids can make their own paper at Gosford Library on Wednesday, January 10, from 10am and at Umina Beach library it will be movie time from 10-noon.

Also on January 10 at Gosford Regional Gallery, there will be a workshop on fantastical animal sculptures from 10am-noon and a seahorse and starfish workshop from 1-3pm.

Full more outdoor fun, there will be a rock pool ramble at Nora Head on Wednesday, January 10, from 1.30-3.30pm.

And it will be movie time at Umina Beach library from 10am-noon.
