I was appalled to read the recent letter by Lyn Barnett of Bateau Bay – (Huge fine uncalled for, CCN 410).
It highlights the deaf and dumb attitude of bureaucracy.
Most of us are law abiding citizens like Ms Barnett.
Yet, occasionally, circumstances force us into an action which might be considered illegal, but not in the realm of common sense.
Parking problems, especially for senior citizens and the disabled, are understated and overlooked.
My husband, who is 78, cannot ever find parking to collect our mail from Terrigal post office since the parking spaces have been limited.
I am not sure if there is a solution.
