New coach for U-19 Wyong Roos

Jason Cashin

The Wyong Roos Under-19s head into the 2024 rugby league season with a new coach at the helm.

Jason Cashin brings vast experience to the role with a long record of success at the Roos.

He has excelled as both a Roos player and coach, and importantly has a great understanding of the systems and culture of the club.

With the team moving into the highly competitive Newcastle Rugby League Under-19s Competition it is bound to be an exciting and challenging year ahead.

Some highlights of Cashin’s achievements with the Roos are: 2002 Player Wyong 1st grade premiership side; 2005 Senior Player of the Year Wyong; 2009 Coach Wyong U-16s premiership winning team; 2014 Trainer Wyong 1st grade premiership winning team; 2023 Coach Wyong U-15s premiership winning team; and 2023 Assistant Coach Wyong U-19s.

The Roos are understandably very excited by this appointment and will approach next season with great optimism.
