Praise comes for Gosford Hospital staff under stress

Hemmings and his wife have visited emergency four times in the last three years

Especially since the advent of COVID-19, our hospitals have been put under a lot of stress.

The people who make our hospitals work deserve to be held in high esteem for their professionalism, dedication and care for the dignity of patients.

Between us, my wife and I have four times in the last three years needed the care of Emergency at Gosford Hospital.

Three of these were overnight stays while the other was for eight days.

We cannot praise enough the staff we encountered on these four occasions for the care we received from the 24/7 service.

We would like to publicly thank the staff of the hospital, both those in face-to-face situations and also those who work in the background, for the care we received.

We both feel that there must be a lot of people out there who feel the same way as we do.

    NURSES WORKING SHORT STAFFED IN EMERGENCY AND IN WARDS. EXCESSIVE AND UNSAFE WORKLOADS.
    NURSES DOING DOUBLE SHIFTS ON REGULAR BASIS.
