Have your say on next year’s Federal Budget

Member for Robertson Gordon Reid (cedntre) with Federal Treasurer Jim Chalmers and Finance Minister Katy Gallagher

Member for Robertson Gordon Reid is encouraging individuals, businesses, and community groups to provide feedback on their priorities for the 2023-24 Federal Budget.

Reid said Central Coast residents should have their say on what they would like to see included in the Budget for our region.

“The Central Coast is a fast-growing region, and we face many opportunities and challenges in the years ahead,” he said.

“The pre-budget submission period is now open, and I am encouraging the Central Coast community to provide feedback on how we can make the most of our opportunities and respond to our challenges in the next federal budget.

“The more submissions the Federal Government receives, the better its ability to respond to the needs of the region.”

Reid said in the 2022-23 Federal Budget, the Central Coast received a record amount of investment.

“This included a $40M Central Coast local roads package, $30M to begin planning work to upgrade Avoca Dre in Kincumber, funding for sporting facility upgrades, and better healthcare access on the Coast,” he said.

The pre-budget submission period opened on December 5 and will close on January 27, 2023.
