Two surgeons have successfully completed a major breast operation at a local hospital.
Breast and general surgeon Dr Mary Ling, and plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon Dr Mihaela Lefter, recently performed a collaborative breast cancer operation at Woy Woy’s Brisbane Water Private Hospital.
The intricate reconstructive surgery involved bilateral nipple sparing mastectomies with immediate reconstruction using implants and an external oblique muscle flap procedure.
