Avoca’s Wade Carmichael has qualified for the 2018 World Surf League’s (WSL) Championship Tour.
The qualification is the realisation of a decade long dream for Carmichael, on the back of a third place finish at the Vans World Cup.
“It’s a dream come true,” Carmichael told the WSL.
“I’ve been trying so hard, I finally got a real good crack at it, and it came true, I’m stoked.”
Carmichael will join fellow Acovcaite, Adrian Buchan, and Copacabana’s, Matthew ‘Wilko’ Wilkinson, on the Championship Tour next year.
