Council waste facilities close to public

Central Coast Council has announced access restrictions to council waste facilities for the public, commencing Monday March 30.

From Monday both Woy Woy and Buttonderry waste management facilities will be closed to the public, but remain open for waste collected only by essential waste vehicles, which include:

  • Council’s household waste collection contractor
  • commercial waste collection contractors
  • small business.

Kincumber waste facility will be closed until further notice.

Council’s media statement; ‘To reduce the risk of COVID-19 in the community, limit the need for residents to travel, minimise contact and ensure services are still being provided, Central Coast Council has changed some operations at its waste management facilities.’

Kerbside services operate as normal

Council’s existing household waste collection service, 3 bin and bulk kerbside service, will continue as usual.  Normal bulk kerbside booking and limits on material apply. See 1coast.com.au.

Residents can also store non-decaying waste material onsite until the current restrictions end, or they can use a commercial waste collection or skip bin service to dispose of additional waste.
