Police are appealing for public assistance after a bag and fishing gear were located unattended on rocks at Norah Head on Sunday, May 4.
At about 5.20am officers attached to Tuggerah Lakes Police District were called to Bush St, Norah Head, following reports items were located on rocks; however, no-one was located nearby.
A search commenced with the assistance from officers attached to Marine Area Command, Police Rescue, Marine Rescue NSW, SES, Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter Service, and Surf Life Saving but no one has since been located.
Police say that there have been no reports of anyone unaccounted for, and they are hoping for information from the public to identify the owners of the equipment.
