The Razorbacks’ backline cohesion and forward dominance created opportunities across the park, and Hubbard capitalised on the final touches.
Woy Woy held their nerve in a tightly contested battle against Avoca Beach to take the match 31-22.
A disciplined defensive effort and clinical execution near the try line gave Woy Woy the edge, as they controlled possession in key moments.
Avoca pushed hard in the second half, but Woy Woy’s composure and consistency sealed the win.
Terrigal delivered a masterclass in attacking rugby with a stunning 92-7 demolition of Gosford/Kariong.
The match will be remembered for the exceptional performance of Blake Irwin, who ran in seven tries, showcasing blistering speed and a nose for the line.
Terrigal’s comprehensive display of skill, support play, and relentless pressure proved too much for the visitors.
In the Women’s Premier 1 league
Warnervale secured back-to-back wins defeating Northlakes/The Bay 33-17.
Their attacking combinations are beginning to click, and their ability to finish out wide proved too much for a spirited Northlakes outfit.
Avoca Beach continued their free-flowing form with a commanding 69-5 victory over Woy Woy.
Central to the win was Jaida Staben, who had a standout game, accumulating 17 points through a mix of tries and conversions.
Staben’s speed, composure, and accuracy were on full display in a dominant player-of-the-match performance, as Avoca’s structure and support play overwhelmed Woy Woy from the outset.
Terrigal maintained their strong standing with a polished 54-7 win over Gosford/Kariong.
Terrigal’s mix of speed and strength across the field proved unstoppable, and their defensive pressure kept their opponents contained.
With this win, Terrigal continues to show they are a major force in the competition.
The scheduled fixture between Lake Macquarie and the Razorbacks was postponed to a later date.
