Police seek help following woman’s death

Police are appealing to the public for information after the death of a woman on the Central Coast.

At about 3am on Sunday, March 23, officers attached to Brisbane Water Police District were told a 19-year-old woman was last seen on The Entrance Rd at Erina.

When she could not be located, detectives commenced an investigation into her whereabouts.

At about 3.45pm on Monday, March 24, police located the woman’s body in the water near The Entrance Rd, Erina.

The death is not being dealt with as suspicious, and a report was prepared for the information of the Coroner.

To assist the Coronial matter, police are trying to locate two women and a man who were seen in the area at the time and who may be able to assist with inquiries.

One woman is described as of Caucasian appearance, of a large build with long blonde hair and wearing a black dress and ankle-high black boots.

The second woman is described as of Caucasian appearance, of slim build with blond hair and wearing blue jeans, white t-shirt and white runners.

The man is described as having a dark complexion, of medium build and wearing a reg singlet, grey shorts, white runners, a white cap and carrying a black backpack.

Brisbane Water Crime Manager, Detective Acting Inspector Samantha Richards, said police would like to hear any information the public might be able to provide.

“We are not implicating that these people were somehow involved in the incident, we have no indication of that,” she said.

“We’re simply hoping they might have some information to help us piece together what has happened.”
