Exciting Shute Shield fixture at Woy Woy

Hunter Wildfires Rugby Club will take on Southern Districts in a high-stakes Shute Shield fixture at Woy Woy Oval on Saturday, April 13.

The action-packed event will feature a total of six games, showcasing the best of rugby talent across multiple grades.

The marquee clashes include the highly anticipated 1st and 2nd grade matches, where the Hunter Wildfires will clash with Southern Districts in a battle of skill, strategy and sheer determination.

Additionally, there will be exhilarating contests in 1st and 2nd grade Colts and women’s rugby.

With a strong presence in the Central Coast region, Hunter Wildfires proudly represent regional NSW, with five dedicated coaches and numerous talented players hailing from the area.

In conjunction with the main event, Central Coast Rugby Union (CCRU) will host a fixture between Woy Woy and Avoca.

Children under 17 will be granted free entry to the event.

“We are incredibly excited to host Southern Districts for what promises to be an unforgettable day of rugby,” Hunter Wildfires Rugby Club General Manager Stuart Pinkerton said.

“With six thrilling games on offer and the launch of the local CCRU competition, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.”

Gates will open at 10am, with the women’s game to kick off at 11.15am, followed by Colts 2 at 12.35pm, Colts 1 at 1.55pm, the CCRU game at 3.30pm, 2nd grade at 4.55pm and 1st grade at 6.30pm.
