Coastwide Child and Family Services take on new programs

Coastwide Child and Family Services has two added two services to its program

Coastwide Child and Family Services has announced the addition of two new services to run in conjunction with its current programs.

The service will be the new provider of Chertsey Primary School’s Outside of Hours Care accommodating 40 children as well as taking over KindiClub Preschool, a centre offering 29 spots catering to children aged two-six.

“Our Coastwide Family Day Care program has proudly been in operation for 41 years and stands as a testament to our commitment to community service and engagement,” general manager Lisa Heward said.

“We have provided 659,326 hours of in-home care for preschool aged children in the past 12 months in our Family Day Care service on the Central Coast, the Hunter and the Mid North Coast region.

“On average, around 70 families each week access our supported playgroup service.

“In response to dynamic market shifts and evolving family preferences, we have initiated a strategic endeavour to diversify our business operations.

“Our decision to explore new business avenues is grounded in our dedication to innovation, growth, and a desire to better serve our families and community.”

The two new services will run in conjunction with existing services including Coastwide Family Day Care, supported playgroups, My Time for parents or carers of children with a disability, developmental delay or chronic medical condition, PlayConnect for families and carers of children aged up to six with Autism Spectrum Disorder, PlayConnect + for parents and carers of children aged up to eight with a disability and or developmental concerns and Play and Learn Supported for all families with children of all abilities ages up to five.

“We have also just received our ratings and assessment from the Department of Education and were given an Exceeding National Quality Standard, so we are extremely proud of this result,” Heward said.

The service will hold a meet and greet for Chertsely Primary School parents from on April 29.

“We will continue to introduce ourselves to the lovely children and families at KindiClub Preschool which we take over officially on April 22,” Heward said.
