Changed conditions on M1 at Mooney Mooney

Traffic may be held up on the M1

Motorists are advised of changed overnight traffic conditions from Monday, April 15, on the M1 for essential maintenance to be carried out on Mooney Mooney Bridge.

Transport for NSW will carry out the work, which includes utility investigations and installation of a safety screen, towards the southern end of the bridge.

Work will be carried out at night from 7pm to 5am Monday to Thursday and is expected to be completed in four nights, weather permitting.

Two lanes will be closed on the southbound bridge, with traffic control and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h in place for the safety of workers and motorists.\

Over Size Over Mass (OSOM) restrictions will be in place and electronic signs will display UHF details on approach to the work site.

OSOM operators are requested to contact UHF channel 20, follow the directions of the traffic controllers and park in the stopping bay until clear, pending traffic condition.

Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
