A man aged in his 80s was taken to hospital after being injured when he fell on rocks at Blue Bay on Thursday, January 18.
Emergency services, including the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, responded to initial reports of a possible drowning incident.
On arrival at about 12.45pm, NSW Ambulance paramedics found the injured man, who had fallen on the rocks at Blue Bay.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics and the helicopter’s critical care medical team before being extricated to a waiting ambulance and transported by road to Gosford Hospital for further treatment.
