More changes to The Entrance high-rise flats

Seven-storey flats at The Entrance

For the fourth time since a seven-storey residential flat building at The Entrance was approved in 2003, the developer is again seeking approval for modifications to the 55-unit complex.

The former Wyong Council gave development consent for the development at 43-49 Ocean Pde and 1 Fairport Ave in August 2003 and three modified plans have been approved since.

In 2013 the swimming pool was deleted, the size of the gymnasium was increased and more residential storage areas added; then in 2018 the number of units was reduced to 55, there were changes to basement parking, the building entry and façade design; followed in 2020 by more changes to basement parking, the driveway entry and updated designs.

A Statement of Environmental Effects (SEE) says these latest amendments to the approved plans are mostly internal minor changes arising from structural advice, and other minor changes required for the Construction Certificate plans.

The SEE says that the 15 changes proposed are “unlikely to result in additional impacts on surrounding properties” and it remains substantially the same development as approved.

According to the SEE “the modified proposal does not change the approved building height or floor space ratio of the development and will not change the number of units compared to the current (2020) approval”.
