On Thursday January 4 at Macmasters Beach a large tree fell narrowly missing a family sitting almost underneath it.
(It snapped) off at the base, which apparently had rotted through.
For many years young children, have swung on and climbed this tree.
Although it had quite a slant on it, it looked solid and healthy.
The message is a reminder to all: do not sit directly under large trees or branches.
There was no wind, there was no warning, it just fell!
