Santa showed up at the Tuggerah Lakes U3A Christmas Lunch and AGM on December 4 to thank the members for the help they’ve given him since his regular attendance at the Brain Teasers group each fortnight.
“It’s important to keep your brain active, especially at my age,” Santa said.
“I was having trouble remembering the names of my reindeer, never mind all those children.”
Tuggerah Lakes U3A President Pam McGlinn wants to build the membership, and feels that many retired or semi-retired people are not aware of the existence of the branch, the varied interests it includes, or the fact that they themselves may have skills they could teach others in our group.
The U3A new year begins in February and now is the ideal opportunity to join.
