Changed traffic conditions next week

Henry Parry Dr will be one of the sites affected

Motorists are advised of changed overnight traffic conditions from November 19-21 to carry out safety maintenance work at five sites across Green Point, Kincumber, The Entrance and East Gosford.

Transport for NSW will carry out shotblasting work on the road surfaces at each site, a technique used to increase road friction during wet weather conditions and ensure the ongoing safety of motorists.

Work will be carried out at: Avoca Dr at the Beatties Rd intersection, Green Point; Avoca Dr before the Davistown Rd intersection at Green Point; Avoca Dr east of Brennan Ave intersection at Kincumber; Henry Parry Dr between White and Frederick Sts, East Gosford; and Central Coast Hwy at Coral St and Oakland Ave intersection, The Entrance.

To minimise impact to motorists, work will be carried out from 7pm to 4.30am from Sunday, November 19, each night until the morning of Tuesday, November 21, weather permitting.

Previously scheduled to occur last month as part of a program of work across the Central Coast, these sites were delayed due to weather.

During work hours, sites with one lane in each direction will have single lane, alternating traffic flow arrangements, portable traffic lights and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h in place.

Sites with two lanes in each direction will have single lane closures, portable traffic lights and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h in place.

Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time, drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
