Reduced fees to find forever homes for pets

The RSPCA is on a mission to find forever homes for animals in their care at centres across NSW with adoption fees reduced to $29 this weekend, November 3-5.

Adoptions through the Central Coast centre are by appointment only to ensure each animal is matched with the perfect forever home.

RSPCA NSW Senior Manager of Animal Operations Kasey Bridge said adoption drives like this were a great way to help people who had been thinking about a pet.

“With animals staying with us longer than ever before, it’s imperative that we shine a light on their incredible personalities and do everything we can to help them find their forever homes,” she said.

“Everything from puppies, dogs, kittens, cats and pocket pets like bunnies and guinea pigs to birds and pekin ducks will be looking for homes.”

Although adoption fees will be drastically reduced, normal adoption procedures will apply to ensure each animal is matched with the right family.

All animals have already been desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and undergone veterinary checks and behavioural assessments.
