Diver rescued at Terrigal

The chopper at Terrigal last Friday

Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called in by NSW Ambulance last Friday, October 20, to help a diver at Terrigal.

At about 6pm thediver was pulled unconscious from the water.

The man, aged in his 40s, was believed to have struck his head on the rocks.

Ambulance paramedics commenced CPR prior to arrival of the helicopter’s critical care medical team.

The man was carried from the scene in a stretcher by NSW Fire and Rescue, paramedics and the medical team before he was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital.
