The beloved three-day Crossroads Chamber Music Festival returns to the Central Coast this weekend with an exhilarating program of five concerts, under the artistic direction of violin virtuoso Madeleine Easton.
The program includes performances by renowned concert pianists Phillip Shovk and Clemens Leske, Bach Akademie founder Madeleine Easton, talented Australian string quartet Phoenix Collective and the brilliant Concertante Ensemble chamber orchestra from the Central Coast.
To be held over October 6, 7 and 8, at various locations in Gosford, the festival will be a celebration of high-quality chamber music that is sure to captivate and inspire.
Tickets are available for individual concerts, day passes or the whole festival.
For the past 15 years, festival organisers have been dedicated to delivering exceptional chamber music experiences to the Central Coast.
The festival, originally scheduled for September, was rescheduled due to illness.
The opening gala with Madeleine Easton and Phillip Shovk will be on Friday, October 6, at 6pm, at the Robert Knox Hall, Central Coast Conservatorium, 45 Mann St, Gosford.
Performances include Beethoven Sonata no.1 in D major 1st Movt; De Falla 7 Canciones Populares Españoles – De Falla Dinicu Hora Staccato.
On Saturday, October 7, concert 1 will feature Bach Akademie at 11am, at St Mary’s Chapel, Gosford Anglican Church, 7 Mann St Gosford.
Concert 2; featuring Madeleine Easton and Clemens Leske in Recital; will be held at 3pm in Robert Knox Hall.
Concert 3 on Sunday, October 8, at 2pm will be the Concertante Ensemble Concert.
Ut will be held at Gosford Anglican Church, 7 Mann St, Gosford, and feature WA Mozart String Quintet no.4 in G minor K516.
Concert 4, the Phoenix Collection – The Art of the String Quartet, will be held at 6pm at the Robert Knox Hall at the Conservatorium featuring Ella Macens – Resting with Angels and Joseph Haydn – String Quartet in D Major, Op.64 No.5 ‘The Lark’.
