After much lobbying, RSL LifeCare and RSL NSW have been invited by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs to submit a grant application to establish a place for enhanced Veteran support services on the Central Coast.

Members from RSL Sub-Branches and interested members of the public to attend a planning session to be held at 10am on Wednesday, July 12, in the auditorium of Breakers Country Club at Wamberal.

The strategic planning session will be an opportunity to identify ways to establish a hub and how the needs of veterans and their families can be met.

Member for Gosford Liesl Tesch said the meeting would provide a great outlet to plan for enhanced services.

“The strategic planning session is an important step for securing a place for enhanced veteran support services on the Central Coast,” she said.

“Having essential services locally is integral to supporting our veterans.

“It’s important to plan and listen to ensure we get the best outcome for the community.”

A light lunch will be available during the meeting.
