Deepwater Older Women’s Network Woy Woy (OWN) is running a monster raffle this festive season to raise funds for Central Coast Disaster Relief and Mary Mac’s.
The group was launched in May 2012 under the banner of OWN NSW and aims to create a warm, vibrant, safe, contemporary and comfortable space where the voices of older women in the community are central and their collective voice carries weight.
The Older Women’s Network was established to uphold the rights, dignity and wellbeing of older women in the community.
This Christmas, Deepwater OWN wanted to help buy food for the hungry, homeless and desperate.
There will be a table selling tickets opposite the DMR Café at Deepwater Plaza on December 14 and 15 from 9am-4pm and outside Stephenson’s Real Estate at Umina Beach on Saturday, December 17, from 9am-noon.
First prize is a beautiful South Seas pearl necklace, matching bracelet with white gold clasps and stud earrings with gold posts.
A luxury jewellery box is included.
The prize was donated by Seaspray Jewellers of Umina Beach and is valued at $4,549.
Second prize is a cane hamper chock full of delicious food products, wine and champagne, aprons, hanging hand towels, cheese board and knife as well as vouchers from Umina business community valued at $700 donated by the Deepwater OWN executive committee.
Third prize is a lifestyle gift pack donated by Umina Flowers and Gifts, hair products donated by Umina Hair and Beauty and a voucher from Flower Girl Creations at Woy Woy.
This prize is valued at $310.
The raffle will be drawn on December 21 at the Woy Woy office of Member for Gosford Liesl Tesch at 10am.
Winners will be advised the same day and the prizes will hopefully all be delivered or collected before Christmas.
