Brisbane Water Police are seeking assistance from anybody who witnessed an assault upon a seven-year-old child at Terrigal Beach.
The incident occurred at 5pm on Saturday, September 10.
Police are requesting the male, depicted in the picture, also make contact with Police, as they believe he witnessed the event and could provide valuable information.
The man depicted in the picture is not involved in the assault – he is a witness Police believe could help with inquiries.
