Tuggerah Lakes Police are investigating an incident in Kanwal when a motorist failed to stop after hitting a pedestrian.
The man was walking south along Swan St at about 6pm on Tuesday, August 30, and was struck from behind by an unknown vehicle.
He was knocked to the ground causing minor injuries to his hands, legs and shoulders and was treated by NSW Ambulance Officers who attended the scene.
The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and render assistance to the man and drove away from the scene.
