As Australia mourns the death of Queen Eizabeth II on Thursday, September 22, during a National Day of Mourning public holiday, Central Coast Council offices will be closed.
Some of Council’s services and facilities will be impacted but essential services will continue to operate.
Customers can contact Council with non-emergency enquiries, requests, reporting issues or formal feedback through the online Customer Service Centre 24/7 at centralcoast.nsw.gov.au which will be progressed by the Customer Service Team during business hours.
An out of hours service will be available on 1300 463 954 to call in any urgent reports such as water main breaks, sewer issues or fallen trees over roads.
50+ Leisure and Learning and Senior Centres will be closed and re-open as normal from Friday, September 23.
The following beaches will be patrolled on Thursday, September 22, from 9am to 5pm: Umina Beach, Ocean Beach, Macmasters Beach, Avoca Beach, Terrigal Beach, Shelly Beach, Toowoon Bay, The Entrance Beach, Entrance Tower Channel, Soldiers Beach and the Grant McBride Baths
On Friday, September 23, patrols will continue at these beaches from 9am-5pm as well as at: Killcare Beach, Copacabana Beach, North Avoca Beach, Wamberal Beach, North Entrance Beach and Lakes Beach.
Community halls will be closed for hire and Early Childhood Education and Care Centres will also be closed.
The box office at Laycock St Community Theatre will be closed with tickets available for purchase online and all leisure centres, gyms and pools will be closed, to reopen on Friday.
Twenty-four gym access will be available at Peninsula Leisure Centre and Lake Haven Recreation Centre with appropriate access tag.
All library branches will be closed, with after-hours chutes also closed from close of business on Wednesday, September 21, until 9am on Friday, September 23.
Toukley Library will be available to customers inducted for Library@Yourtime.
Gosford Regional Gallery will operate as normal but the Visitor Information Centre at The Entrance will be closed.
Residential waste collections will continue as normal and Woy Woy and Buttonderry Waste Management Facilities will be open with public holiday hours of operation of 8am-4pm.
Any water service interruptions will be on Council’s website and urgent water or sewer issues (such as a spill, leak or bubbling water) can be reported on 1300 463 954.
