St Patrick’s to get a $10,000 refurbishment

Member for Gosford, Liesl Tesch, with Father Greg of the Catholic Parish of St Patrick's

The Catholic Parish of St Patrick’s at East Gosford has been awarded $10,000 to upgrade and refurbish its church building through the 2021 Community Building Partnership program.

The parish’s Father Greg welcomed the announcement of the funding.

“This is very welcome news and the parish is very excited,” he said.

“At the moment our copper doors are falling apart and quite well-used.

“We aim to re-configure the church to make it more welcoming and disability friendly.”

Member for Gosford, Liesl Tesch, met with Father Greg recently to announce the funding and congratulate the parish.

“This funding will go towards much-needed upgrades to St Patrick’s Catholic Church including safety and accessibility improvements,” Tesch said.

“St Patrick’s Church is one of the most spectacular modern churches on the Central Coast and it’s always a pleasant and reverent experience visiting and being present inside the church.

“Of course every building needs some TLC and I am delighted to support the parish getting some of its upgrades underway.”

Father Greg thanked Tesch for her support in securing the funding.
