A Female Multi-Sport Program will be held at Peninsula Leisure Centre next month to help encourage females into sport in a social, non-competitive environment.
The six-week program is a pilot sport and active recreation event for females, high school age and over.
Sessions begin on Sunday mornings from May 1 to June 5 and cost $5 to participate.
The program, which is hosted by local sport and recreation providers, gives participants with an opportunity to come and try up to six different sports including group fitness, netball, basketball, water polo, floorball and volleyball.
Activities may be modified slightly and can include brief introductory coaching/explanation to allow those new to the activity to feel more confident in participating.
The program is a partnership between Office of Sport, Central Coast Council and Sport Central Coast.
