ANZAC Day services across the region

Central Coast Council will support events being held at several locations across the Coast in commemoration of ANZAC Day on April 25.

The services will provide community members the opportunity to come together to pay their respects to our fallen service men and women and acknowledge those who fought to defend our country and protect our way of life.

Dawn services, main services and marches will be proceeding at the following locations:

Davistown: A dawn Service will be held at Davistown RSL Club, Murna Rd, Davistown at 6am.

Doyalson: The dawn service will be held at Doyalson-Wyee RSL Club, Pacific Hwy, Doyalson at 5am with a main service commencing from 9am.

Empire Bay: A main service will be held at Empire Bay Cenotaph, Sorrento Rd, Empire Bay at 11am.

Gosford: Both ceremonies will take place in Kibble Park, Donnison St, Gosford. A dawn service will be held at 6am with a main service starting at 11am.

Ourimbah: A dawn service will be held at Ourimbah RSL, Pacific Hwy, Ourimbah, at 5.30am with a main service at 1.30pm.

Terrigal: A dawn service will be held at Terrigal Beach and War Memorial, The Esplanade, Terrigal at 5.15am.

The Entrance: A dawn service will be held at Memorial Park and Cenotaph, Marine Pde, The Entrance at 5.30am with a main service at 11.30am.

Toukley: The dawn service will get underway at The Ary, Holmes Ave, Toukley,, at 5.20am with a main service commencing from 10.30am.

Woy Woy: A dawn service will be held at Memorial Park and Cenotaph, Brickwharf Rd, Woy Woy, at 5.30am with a main service at 10.30am.

Wyong: A dawn service will be held at Wyong Town Park and Club Wyong RSL at 5.45am with a main service starting at 10am.

Central Coast Stadium: A special ‘Salute to the ANZACs’ free concert will be held at the stadium in Gosford, organised by Coast Opera Australia and partners. Proceedings start at 5.30pm.

Council is encouraging the community to follow all requirements put in place by local sub-branches and to follow the directives of the local police, to ensure the safety of the community.

Council will also display banners across key town centres in commemoration of ANZAC Day, encouraging community members to unite to pay their respects.

There will be road closures in place at various locations and times across the Central Coast on Monday, April 25.

Please plan ahead and obey all detour signage and road closures throughout the day.
