Umina Beach Public School’s Parents and Carers (P&C) Association said they donated $76,000 back into the school community last year, despite COVID-19 restrictions hindering fundraising efforts.
The P&C said $250 cash was gifted to each teacher to spend on student mental wellbeing in their classroom, along with a whole-school incursion of the ‘Wellbeing Show’ fully funded.
Funds raised by the P&C also helped complete major projects such as the design of the new infants playground, an upgrade of student toilets, new computer chairs, and new technology for the Robotics Club.
The P&C also hosted the televised Walk To School Safety Day Event and donated to Indigenous Learning Support resources.
