Jonathan O’Dea, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly has announced the receipt in the last 24 hours of the resignations of; Andrew Constance, John Barilaro, Jodi McKay and Gladys Berejiklian from the seats of Bega, Monaro, Strathfield and Willoughby respectively in the Legislative Assembly of New South Wales.

The resignations were effective immediately upon receipt.
Details of the by-elections for the electoral districts of Bega, Monaro, Strathfield and Willoughby will be announced in the new year, following consultation with the NSW Electoral Commissioner and party leaders.
However, the by-elections are likely to be held on Saturday, 12 February 2022.
The speaker went on to say “I would like to thank all four former members for their service to the New South Wales
Parliament and the people of New South Wales”.
