Hospital visitor restrictions eased

Visitor restrictions at Wyong and Gosford Hospitals’ Emergency Departments have been eased.

As of October 15, patients arriving at the ED can now be accompanied by one support person.

On arrival, each support person will be asked to: Sanitise their hands, wear a mask (their own or provided by staff), keep a 1.5m distance from others and register their name, phone number and reason for visiting at the hospital entry screening point or via a QR code provided.

Clinicians will advise if it is possible for the support person to accompany the patient into treatment areas depending on their condition, treatment required and available space.
