It was a close call for the driver of a truck which caught alight on Peats Ridge Rd at Peats Ridge early in the morning on September 23.
Somersby Rural Fire Brigade responded to a call at 5am, with crews finding the truck cabin completely destroyed by fire.
The brigade’s Facebook page reports that with the assistance of Mangrove Mountain Rural Fire Brigade and Fire & Rescue NSW, the fire was extinguished and the scene made safe.
The driver was unharmed, and the cause of the fire remains unknown.
