Two Gosford men have been arrested and charged with property offences after a string of break ins around Gosford.
Brisbane Water Police were investigating the incidents which occurred over a number of weeks around Gosford involving break enter and steal, steal from motor vehicle, malicious damage offences.
In particular, a number of caged storage areas in residential block car parks in St George St and Hargrave St Gosford were broken in to.
Following investigations by Brisbane Water Police the two men were identified through CCTV and forensic analysis.
At about 9:50am on June 3, Brisbane Water Police executed a search warrant upon a residence in Ward St, Gosford, arresting two persons of interest (POI).
During the search clothing worn during the offences, and property relating to the offences was recovered and seized.
Both POIs were conveyed to Woy Woy Police Station and subsequently charged.
POI 1, a 27-year-old man, was charged with: Break and enter steal value under $60,000 (x3) and break enter intend to commit serious indictable offence.
POI 2, a 24-year-old man, was charged with: Break enter and steal, aggravated break enter dwelling in company steal under $60,000, count destroy/damage property and breach of bail.
Both were bail refused to Newcastle Local Court on June 4.
Investigations are ongoing and further charges are pending.
