A man is being treated for possible spinal injuries after a surfing accident at The Entrance North.
The Central Coast Volunteer Rescue Squad and other emergency services were called to North Entrance Beach at around 3pm on Sunday, June 14, to reports that a surfer had been injured after being dumped onto a sandbank.
Paramedics treated and stabilised the patient, while rescue crews set up a hauling system to lift the patient in a stokes litter up a 10m sand embankment.
The patient was then transported to hospital in a stable condition.
