A major milestone has been achieved on the M1 Pacific Mwy upgrade between Tuggerah and Doyalson, with the opening of the new loop from Sparks Rd.
The new loop allows a seamless journey for motorists travelling from Warnervale and improves traffic flow for motorists heading north on the M1.
Motorists travelling west across the Sparks Rd bridge will be able to use the new loop to head north towards Newcastle simply by staying left, following the signs and driving onto the new loop.
They then enter the newly opened lane, where they can continue towards Doyalson and Swansea via the existing Doyalson Link Rd or use the new underpass to safely join the M1 after the Doyalson interchange, to travel towards Newcastle.
This loop will operate like the one at the Tuggerah interchange, so motorists are reminded to keep left as they need to use the loop to head north on the M1.
