Gosford City Rotary Club has informed members and the public of the cancellation of events and activities, including their popular Wednesday morning breakfast meetings.
It is with much sadness that I advise all of our subscribers to Monday Message that the Club members have decided to suspend our regular Wednesday breakfast meetings until further notice.
Despite the excellent attendance at today’s meeting, members agreed that it was important that our Club heed the advice from authorities to limit social interaction. We are looking at ways to maintain the connection amongst members through technology, and we will try to keep everyone updated with more frequent editions of Monday Message (yes it will come out on other days too).
We are conscious such decisions impact on small business and are concerned we will not be supporting our wonderful breakfast hosts the Top Point Cafe. They will remain open, so dropping in on an individual basis for a coffee or lunch if appropriate would be a great gesture.
Club members also decided today that they should stay in touch with their local neighbourhoods and offer to shop or assist the elderly, frail and vilnerable at this uncertain time. If you know of anyone who genuinely needs assistance, let us know.
Please read below for other changes affecting our Club and the community.
