A life saving defibrillator will be installed at Davistown Progress Hall, thanks to a $3,600 State government grant.

Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast and Member for Terrigal, Adam Crouch, said 521 local residents had signed a petition to support the request for funding.
“I presented the petition to Health Minister Brad Hazzard in December, 2019, and am delighted that he has responded by providing $3,600,” Crouch said.
“A defibrillator is a resuscitation device that quite literally makes the difference between life and death when someone experiences cardiac arrest.
“Many sports clubs and community groups have their own defibrillator and it is so important for this equipment to also be accessible at Davistown Progress Hall.”
Davistown Progress Association President, Jenny McCulla, welcomed the news.
“A number of locals will be trained to use it and are going to be available 24/7 so that the defibrillator can be used in an emergency situation,” McCulla said.
The hall is also sporting a new roof after extensive damage which resulted from severe storms early in February.
