Kincumber Neighbourhood Centre management has advised that the centre will be upgraded over the coming months.
Centre Manager, Colette Baron, announced that the centre would be closing for 10 weeks from March 1, while works get underway to improve accessibility at the community building.
Baron said that while works were underway, it would be “business as usual” for centre staff and volunteers, who will move into nearby Yirrang Building and continue delivering their regular programs and activities to the community, albeit with some alternative arrangements where required.
“Although the centre will be shut down for 10 weeks, we will have a better, fresher and brighter space for everyone to enjoy once works are complete,” Baron said.
