Peninsula churches will hold a Festival of Nine Lessons for Christmas at Ettalong Diggers from 7pm on December 22.
It will be presented by the Brisbane Water Ministers’ Association which involves the Anglican, Baptist, Catholic, Lutheran and Uniting Churches of the Peninsula and the Salvation Army. “Together we will sing Christmas carols and hymns as we retell the nativity story of Jesus’ birth and how it was foretold generations earlier by the prophet Isaiah,” said Broken Bay Uniting Church minister, the Reverend Patty Lawrence.
“We will hear about the great work of World Vision Australia, a Christian organisation that works with children, families, and communities to overcome poverty and injustice throughout the world. “The Christmas Story is the ultimate love story, as it speaks of the self-sacrificial love of our creator God for God’s creation, in the birth of Jesus, Ms Lawrence said.
