University of Newcastle, Ourimbah Campus, held an Open Day for future students on August 4.
UoN Ourimbah invited the community to “explore campus life, get advice on study options, and be inspired by interactive demonstrations, talks and tours”. “People really liked the hands-on demonstrations and activities,” University of Newcastle Student Recruitment and Engagement Officer, Martine Fogg, said. Activities focussed on the sports and medical sciences that the campus has to offer, including podiatry demonstrations and virtual reality simulations. “It’s a good way to feel the community, there’s a family vibe here due to the smaller campus. “You feel welcomed here and people travel to Ourimbah specifically for their degree, so you get a sense of people wanting to be there and that they’re committed to their degrees,” Ms Fogg said.
