Sporting groups have been invited to have their say on the planning of grassroots sport, by Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast, Mr Scot MacDonald.

Central Coast community members and sporting groups will be able to give feedback on key local strategies in order to assist grassroots participation, Mr MacDonald said. “This is a great opportunity for Central Coast locals to have their say, and I encourage everyone to view the plans and give their feedback on what they would like to see prioritised,” Mr MacDonald said.

The Central Coast Regional Sport Plan will provide targeted sports programs and facility development. Mr John Barilaro, Deputy Premier and Minister for Regional NSW, said that the plans will support participation in sport throughout the state. “This is an important fi rst step in the process of gathering community feedback to ensure that we invest in the right mix of sports facilities that meet the needs of unique communities,” Mr Barilaro said. Feedback is to be given through the Office of Sport website by July 19.
