May 2018, is significant, as it officially marks Gosford Town Centre’s revitalisation as a success.
Council Staff, Councillors, the JRPP and the Minister for Planning can now refuse all developments, amendments and additions, as the Town Centre is at saturation point for car parking and general accessibility. Earlier this May, I drove to Gosford, expecting to utilise Baker St Carpark Level 2, as I have done many times in the past.
The success of the town centre revitalisation has reduced car parking space, which forces customers to use Levels 3, 4 and 5. This is an unknown consequence of revitalisation which will quickly become number one priority, as developments are completed and occupied. Public transport will become the most convenient transport option as development inflicts infrastructure havoc. How do you stop a runaway train?
