The Central Coast community was given a sneak peek inside the new Gosford Hospital tower on April 21.
Member of the Legislative Council, Taylor Martin, said he was excited that the community was given an opportunity to inspect the first class facility that will serve the people of the Central Coast well into the future.
“The Berejiklian Government is investing $348m redeveloping Gosford Hospital that will include a new, expanded emergency department and intensive care unit, additional operating theatres, more inpatient beds for medical, acute and subacute services, expanded maternity, cancer and cardiovascular services and an additional 800 parking spaces,” Mr Martin said.
Member for Terrigal, Mr Adam Crouch, said that the community will benefit not only from the new facilities, but also from additional jobs at
the hospital.
“As well as the fantastic new facilities at Gosford, we are also employing more health staff, including the recently announced 39 intern doctors
and 70 nursing and midwifery graduates,” Mr Crouch said.
