Member of the NSW Legislative Council, Mr Taylor Martin, has announced that Gosford based, Glenworth Valley Outdoor Adventures, has received a grant of $300,000, to support a $706,730 project to construct and install three new luxury eco wilderness cabins.
Mr Martin said the grant support was from the 2017/18 round of the Tourism DemandDriver Infrastructure (TDDI) program, a Commonwealth funded initiative, administered by the State Government to support tourism projects that drive demand and increase local tourism expenditure. “I’m delighted to announce funding to support Glenworth Valley Outdoor Adventures to build these new Luxury Eco Wilderness Cabins,” Mr Martin said.
Federal Member for Robertson, Ms Lucy Wicks MP, said the Commonwealth has allocated funding through the TDDI to state governments for tourism infrastructure projects, where project proponents provide or source matching funding. “This program is national, with 41 projects supported in NSW by the TDDI and funded to the sum of $9.25m,” Ms Wicks said. NSW Parliamentary Secretary for the Central Coast, Scot MacDonald MLC, said: “The new cabins will assist in attracting more overnight visitors to the Central Coast, in the hope that they stay longer and explore the wonderful region,” Mr MacDonald said.
